I have a strong art background form my parents and I have a strong will to go back to school. My concern is that I am 37 and work full time. I do not want to continue what I am doing and have a drive to persue the art field. I am worried about how long the schooling would take me and other then art therapist what other careers in art would be worth this huge life change.I know art teacher is not even considered, due to the lack of need for art teachers. Please contact me, maybe you could give me some insight about what is available out there for me and realistic at my age. Going to school for 10-12 years is not what I want to even consider.
Thank you for your time. I can also be reached at work-tschenk@optimeyes.com
Please send response to both e-mails.
Thank you.

Hello Everyone,
The right art school can not only enable you to learn and improve upon existing artistic ability and techniques, but it can also prepare you for an exciting career doing something you love.
Greetings!
I studied psychology with a minor in art and am working on my BFA in painting right now. I have wanted to become an art therapist for as long as I knew what that was..i work with children and adults in my studio now, teaching art and the processes..also teach yoga and am working on my anusara yoga instructor certification. I currently live in Grand Rapids, MI and want to get started on the next step to living my dream to become an art therapist. Please send me any information you can to shoot me in the right direction!
