@KarlaB, I would contact a college that has an art therapy program available and ask them for suggestions on which routes to take. If you have a good school counselor, they can help guide you as well. I would go directly to the college if you can though. Good Luck!

Hi, I am writing from Mexico City. I am currently doing my thesis at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), with the theme of Art Therapy in people with Intellectual Disabilities.

Known to any association that works with any AT program this population? (how many students, work sessions, how many years have worked, results)

Any information I can provide, I will be very helpful for my project.

    Best regards

I have a Master’s Degree in Human Service.I currently work as a substance abuse counselor and I have artistic abilities. I have provided services for my church for 10 years as an artist for women re-treates. I am interested in utilizing my talent at my place of employment and for future employment,so I am inquiring about the art classes that will enable me to conduct art therapy groups.
