I found much better school to feed instead. Could I ask if you know what’s the demand for Art Therapy in the state of Massachusetts? I’m currently completing Master’s program in Mental Health Counseling (online) I wonder if I should get certificate, or additional Masters in (online) Art therapy?

I’ve been an artist for over 30 years. I will be going back to school for art therapy in the fall but would love to get some hands on experience now.

I wish RI would get accredited!!!

I am currently double majoring in Studio Arts (undeclared) and Psychology and minoring in Music (Voice) at Umass Dartmouth, but I would like to study Expressive Arts Therapy ultimately at Lesley. However, I am not sure what to study in my undergraduate career to prepare me for this.

I was thinking about double majoring in Art Therapy and Music Therapy, or double majoring in Neuroscience and Studio Arts with a minor in music.

This is really important and I need to apply soon…Please help! 🙁

my best suggestion to you is to get your undergraduate degree in fine arts or psychology and minor in the other. you cannot get a license in art therapy unless you have a masters degree. so, focus your undergrad on making art and your masters degree on art therapy. best of luck!

I currently graduated undergrad with a BA in Fine Art and a minor in Psychology. I am looking into the Expressive Therapies program at Lesley University and even have an interview set up for next week. I was hoping to maybe get in touch with someone who is familiar with their program. Any advice in general would be great! Thank you! epalicakos@gmail.com
